Does this light stay or come on when it's dark at night and stay off during the day?
Yes, this light will not come on if outside light is detected (such as sunlight during the day), and will come on when no light is detected (such as at night).
Which mode do I use when I want the light to turn on only when motion is detected?
Mode 1 light will be off until motion is detected. Mode 2 dim light when dark, switches to bright for 20 seconds when motion is detected. Mode 3 is medium light when dark. Use power button to select mode.
Where is the light sensor located on the unit?
The light sensor is contained within the solar panel. If you cover the solar panel with your hand, you'll notice that the light comes on when charged.
What color temperature is the light?
It's a bright white, about 6000k to 6500k.
Important Product Note:
If any light is detected by the solar panel the LEDs will not turn on! If you think there is an issue with the light first leave the solar panel facing direct sunlight for a full day then bring the product inside and turn on the power in a dark closet to test that it works properly.
